Advanced Pedicures

"I. Hate. My. Toes."

We hear this...A LOT.  At Healthy Nails by Bad Kitti Claws, we have made it our mission to provide a shame-free, foot-positive environment.  We offer a full range of Advanced Pedicure services, catering especially to those with lifting or separating of toenails, ingrown nails, health concerns, brittle or damaged nails, or low confidence in the appearance of their feet.  Whether it is from an injury, difficulty reaching your toes, pre-existing conditions, or a negative previous pedicure experience, we will spend the time with you to get you back to where you want to be.  And, believe it or not, most of our specialty pedicure clients are men! 

Our goal is for you to walk out with your feet feeling and looking great, and for you to feel confident in your toes once again.  You will receive a personalized care plan for your toes, and we can usually greatly improve the feel and appearance of your toes and nails in the first visit.

Acrylics? Sure! Just not here...

...and here's why:

At Healthy Nails Salon, we do not perform acrylic or dip powder services.  Why not, you ask?  Basically, the removal of these acrylic products can damage your natural nails, dehydrating and weakening nail plates over time.  And, the acrylic dust can linger in the air for up to 72 hours (which would kind of defeat the purpose of a healthy nails salon!!) 

But don't let this discourage you from giving us a call or coming in, my acrylically-addicted friends!  We would be happy to walk you through our systems and products, and help transition you to a healthier gel or natural nail system that can restore your natural nails strength and health!  And yes, we can make them look just as pretty, create extensions, and add nail art!

If you've been hooked on acrylic nails for years and can't remember the last time your natural nails grew healthy and strong on their own, this nail salon was created for you.  I have been there too, and we can restore your natural nail health while keeping the bling and shine on those nails!

Booking Reservation Deposits

Effective August 1, 2022, booking reservation deposits are required at the time you make your appointment.

Payment for the booking reservation deposit holds your appointment time and ensures we are compensated for the minimum required expenses to operate the salon for this time period.  Appointment deposits are non-refundable and will be deducted from the cost of your salon service(s) at the time of your appointment.

When you arrive for your appointment:

Sola Salons has a new security system in place at the Middletown Salon.  When you arrive, please call Trixie at (202) 656-1575 for entry to the salon, or you can use the new call box outside the front entrance.  All guests will be met at the front door and escorted into the salon.  Please note that this is a shared space, and staff from other salons in the building are not allowed to let you into the building until your provider personally meets you at the door.  Please do not knock on the windows of occupied salon spaces to be let into the building. 

If we don't answer immediately, kindly give us a few moments as we are likely finishing with an earlier client.

Salon Policies:

Cancellation, Rescheduling & No-Show Policy

Cancellations and rescheduling requests will ONLY be accepted via text or phone call to (202) 656-1575.

Need to cancel or reschedule an appointment? No problem, we totally understand!  We just ask that you text or call us with your cancellation eight (8) hours prior to the start of your appointment at (202) 656-1575. We ONLY accept cancellations or rescheduling requests by texting or calling this number.  We do not accept cancellations via email, social media, or online chat.

Cancellation with less than eight (8) hours notice, no-show appointments, and clients arriving more than fifteen (15) minutes late for an appointment will forfeit their $50 appointment booking deposit.

Refund Policy

We are unable to offer any refunds for salon services for any reason.  Prior to submitting payment at the completion of a service, any problems or concerns with the service must be brought to our attention.  We are happy to correct any problems or address any concerns with the service or products used before we conclude the appointment, and before payment is submitted for the service(s). 

Once payment for a service is submitted and the customer has exited the salon, the customer has accepted the service as completed in-full and to their full satisfaction.  We are not responsible for any damage, broken, chipped, or lifting nails after the client has left the salon appointment and paid for their service.

Included Services

Appointments will only include the specific service(s) listed on our current Nail Service Menu on our website, or specifically outlined for any specials posted on our website or our social media platforms.  Products or services that are not specifically listed on the menu or the special posting are not included in that service, and can only be added-on for their regular price.

Clients may request a full descriptions of services, or a clarification of specials and offers, at any time prior to the start of their service.  We are not responsible for a client's misunderstanding or misinterpretation of a service or special offer once a service has commenced.

Refusal of Services

We reserve the right to refuse salon services to any client due to improper conduct by the client or a guest of a client including reasons such as: disrespectful or inappropriate behavior, lateness, no-show appointments, failure to pay in-full for prior services, criminal behavior, failure to follow rules or policies, or any other reason deemed appropriate at the discretion of our staff.  

COVID-19 Protocols

Our staff is fully vaccinated and boosted for the COVID-19 virus, and is texted weekly.  The wearing of face masks for fully vaccinated staff clients is optional.  If you would like our staff to wear a mask during your service, please just let us know and we would be happy to do so.

The salon is fully cleaned and disinfected between each service including surfaces, equipment, chairs, the pedicure station, and the manicure station.  Our stainless steel reusable tools are sterilized in an autoclave between each use.  The salon has built-in exhaust vents at the manicure and pedicure station, as well as a ceiling exhaust system.  The private studio has stand-alone climate control utilizing HEPA filtration.
